In the early 2000s, four friends, who had performed together in various combinations at the Bristol Renaissance Faire and elsewhere, decided they wanted to perform together on a regular basis. With that, Jesse Linder, Rob Middleton, Lucas Morgan, and Sarah Wilfong formed CrossRogues. With four-part harmonies and a wide range of musical instruments between them, CrossRogues brought a wide variety and a sense of fun to their recordings.

For their second CD, they returned to the studio to work with David Bragman, but they also included six live tracks recorded in 2000 at the Stronghold mansion in Oregon IL (recording by Karl Mulak). The fantastic cover artwork was provided by Tony Hrubes.
